The Pitcher IV Print

from $75.00

Limited edition giclée print of The Pitcher IV from The Jobs of Yesteryear Series.

Every pitcher has their signature windup, which often involves kicking up their leg to generate power. One of the iconic windups of past hurlers belonged to Johnny Vander Meer. As of 2025, he is the only pitcher to ever throw two straight no-hitters, which he achieved in 1938 pitching for the Cincinnati Reds. Baseball hasn’t changed much over the years, but one big alteration came with the introduction of stadium lights and the night games they facilitated. Interestly enough, Vander Meer’s second no-hitter of his historic pair took place at the very first night game at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn.
