Limited edition giclée print of The Wing Walker from The Jobs of Yesteryear Series. Printed on acid-free paper with archival inks and finished with a standard size white mat plus the option to add a high-quality black frame with anti-reflective glass. The Jobs of Yesteryear are thought-provoking conversation pieces that will bring an air of history and whimsy to any room.

Wing walkers were one typer of barnstormer, aerial daredevils who pushed the limits of what could be done with a plane in the 1920's. Curtiss "Jenny" biplanes were the industry standard and wing walkers would walk across the top wing with bags over their heads or hang from tethers dangling from the bottom wing. Barnstormers became mostly obsolete in the 1930's when a series of high-profile crashes led to tougher safety regulations, which were virtually impossible for barnstormers to meet.

Each original painting is created on stained wood panel using acrylic paint. The limited color palette gives the work a historic feel. The long limbed characters are crafted using hundreds of hand-torn bits of kraft paper collaged on top of watercolor paper and painted with an acrylic wash. The painting includes details showing how the wing walker job became obsolete.
