The Closer II Print

from $45.00

Limited edition print of The Closer II from the Jobs of Yesteryear Series.

The windup is one of the most tense moments for any batter up to the plate. It’s the few seconds before the split second they will have to decide if and how to swing at the ball rocketing towards home plate. A good pitcher will keep the ball hidden as long as they can during the windup, allowing the batter as little time as possible to discern his intent. This is the scene unfolding in The Closer, as the viewer is allowed to inspect the windup in anxious anticipation of its result. The pitcher is unfazed; his job, as a closer, is to strike batters out and help propel his team to victory in the final innings. It’s a high-intensity job, but he’s got the arm and the guts to pull it off.
