Limited edition giclée print of The Firemen from The Jobs of Yesteryear Series. Printed on acid-free paper with archival inks and finished with a standard size white mat plus the option to add a high-quality black frame with anti-reflective glass. This print is easy to frame and get hung on your wall. The Jobs of Yesteryear are thought-provoking conversation pieces that will bring an air of history and whimsy to any room.

The Firemen takes a historical look at firefighting, when a hand tub would be wheeled to the scene and pumpmen would go to work, feeding water into the hose by working a lever. This invention greatly reduced the number of people needed to fight fires. A modern fire engine turns the corner, hinting at how fires are now fought by these brave men and women.

Each original painting is created on stained wood panel using acrylic paint. The limited color palette gives the work a historic feel. The long limbed characters are crafted using hundreds of hand-torn bits of kraft paper collaged on top of watercolor paper and painted with an acrylic wash. The painting includes details showing how the firefighting job has changed over the years.
